What is IGBT?
The abbreviation IGBT stands for “Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors”. These are high-speed components/switches used in the latest Inverter welding machines that facilitate voltage regulation. IGBT technology offers significant benefits including improved welding performance, accurate welding current adjustment and perhaps most importantly, IGBTs are less vulnerable to mains and generator current fluctuations, making them much more reliable and less prone to damage or failure.
What is thermal safety?Thermal protection is a method of detecting excessive temperatures and disconnecting the power to the electronic circuits. The protection prevents fire or damage to electronic components, which can be caused by excess heat in the power supplies or other equipment. With welding equipment, the thermal safety will preventively switch off the welding current and cool the machine by means of the fan.
What is synergistic?
A synergistic welding machine is a machine that automatically sets the welding parameters based on the material type, thickness and wire diameter selected by the user. The machine sets the volts, wire feed speed (amperage), etc. based on the information in the programs stored in the machine's memory.
What is ACDC Welding?
Unlike DC welding, AC continues to flow from positive to negative. The current can change its polarity 120 times per second, each time the polarity from DC negative to DC positive is called a cycle. Because the current direction changes, the direction of the heat (welding current) also changes within 1 cycle. This cycle can be set on AC/DC machines, so this process makes it possible to weld special materials with a low melting point such as aluminum.
